Permox-CTF™ Touch-up Repair Kit Instructions

STORAGE: Permox-CTF™ Repair Kits should be stored in a controlled environment where the temperature is maintained at approximately 70ºF. Below 60ºF the product becomes difficult to properly mix due to its inherent heavy consistency.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Do not mix Permox-CTF before preparing area to be coated. Clean damaged area to remove dirt and debris, if wet dry off with clean rags. Use sandpaper provided to scarify surfaces to be repaired, blow off all sanding debris with clean compressed air if possible then wipe with a clean rag.

For repairs required due to pipe cutting: Inspect cut edge for any lining damaged such as chipping. Check adhesion of lining to pipe by using the point of a knife edge. If the point of the knife easily inserts between the lining and pipe, remove the lining in those areas. Once loose lining has been removed, clean and prep the area as above.

MIXING: THIS IS A PRE-MEASURED KIT, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SPLIT THIS KIT INTO MULTIPLE USES. Empty the container of activator into the the container of the base component scraping the sides and bottom to get as much of the activator into the base side as possible. Mix the container containing both parts until uniform color is achieved scraping the container sides frequently. Material should be uniformly mixed within 3 to 5 minutes.

APPLICATION: Permox-CTF™ should be applied by brush within 45 minutes if the product temperature is approximately 70ºF when mixed. Under these conditions Permox-CTF™ starts to warm in 40 to 45 minutes and continues to rise in temperature. Do not attempt to apply this product or handle the container of mixed product once it becomes uncomfortable to hold by hand (over 110ºF). At temperatures higher than 70ºF., the pot-life of Permox-CTF™ decreases rapidly and application time must be shortened accordingly.

WARNINGS: DO NOT HANDLE CONTAINER BY HAND, OR ATTEMPT TO APPLY PERMOX-CTF AFTER THE MIXED PRODUCT EXCEEDS 110ºF. TO AVOID RISK OF BURN INJURY, WHEN FINISHED APPLYING PERMOX-CTF TO THE REPAIR AREA, PLACE CONTAINER IN A SAFE SPOT, AWAY FROM THE WORK AREA, AND ALLOW IT TO HARDEN. DO NOT TOUCH OR DISPOSE OF UNTIL COOL. AFTER COOL–DOWN, MIXED PRODUCT IS NONHAZARDOUS AND MAY BE DISPOSED OF ACCORDINGLY.
